A COLLECTION
Some of the Holy Fathers have written many books, or could speak for hours on end – like we are told abour Saint Paul (cf. Acts). For often a short word is not enough. Some explanation is necessary in order to understand it in the right way.
But usually, it’s the short summarizing words that remain in our memory.
Those words are kept like precious treasures, handed on from year to year, and from age to age – like, for example, the sayings of the Desert Fathers.
Moreover, throughout the ages Christians have written out such sayings to keep them closeby, as a regular reminder: on the wall, near the hearth, or as a bookmark.
In this section:
- Several albums with such short sayings, usually also available in PDF for use at home. See > overview below
- Longer texts from Orthodox writers and fathers in the Faith, related to the miniposters and/or other items on this site. For details, see the > complete index
