Entering into the riches of the Orthodox Tradition
Archimandrite Zacharias is a monk of the Orthodox Monastery of St John the Baptist in Essex, UK. In his book, ‘Christ, Our Way and Our Life, he gathered the main teachings of his spiritual father, Elder Sophrony.
These teachings move between two poles:
On the one hand, they show us the unique vision of the ancient Christian Faith and the heights to which we are called - the ‘polestar’, as it were, by which we may orient ourselves.
On the other hand, they explore the fundamental elements of the Christian path, ‘the abc’s of the spiritual life’ - starting right where we are, in this fallen world.

In many talks, including several dedicated series, Father Zacharias has elaborated on the themes presented in his first book, which was based on his doctoral thesis - making this path accessible to all.
Much of this material has appeared in print, also including answers to questions from his audience.
Addressing the subject of the spiritual life from various angles, each book has a slightly different character and can also be read independently.
