> Ponderings I Q: O Give Thanks On the last time If anyone offend not in word Q: Behold, all new Recommended Reading

If the intellect remains, even for a moment, in the familiar embrace from thoughts gleaned from the word of God, the soul feels such consolation! Such glorification of God begins to rise from the depths of the soul, from the very treasury of the heart...

Then the soul feels the healing of her nature. Then the inner warfare stills. Then the powers of the soul, so fragmented and cloven by sin, come together and unite ... having attracted to this unity even the body.

O my mind! Turn to the word of God,
seek my joy there!

on the book of revelation

As we behold the developments of our times, we cannot help realize that the prophetic words of the Bible are utterly realistic, finding their concrete fulfilment in human history. And some are especially applicable to our days.

On the other hand, it can be hard to know how to interpret certain events. Whilst the most pressing question remains always: What should we do? How to live with this vision?

An instructive and inspiring exploration of the Book of the Revelation was offered in a series of more than one hundred lectures, given by Elder Athanasios Mitilinaios (+2006). By the joint efforts of several Orthodox Christians the original audio-recordings in Greek are also being made available in English, both in mp3 and as a series of books.

Inspired by prayer and great love for Holy Scripture, informed by the ancient Orthodox commentaries, and with an open eye for the needs and difficulties of our time.
